SPOILER: SAVE SCOTT–PUZZLE #25

Scott will eventually end up at the springhouse, follow him there, he is following that tornado, but gets too close and crashes. You cut out to a picture of him passed out in front of the springhouse. The springhouse door is boarded up and you have to pry off the boards somehow. You have to find a way in. HINT: You are timed for this as well if you do not get in the springhouse fast enough the tornado will come and sweep you away. Look around and you will see a long skinny board that looks like a snow ski lying on the ground. Pick it up and then click on the door several times and it will open.

(See Picture Below)

SPOILER: STORM SHELTER KEY BOX–PUZZLE #24

Okay well this one is not really a puzzle but you are definitely timed.

But to solve this puzzle you must click on one of the 9 keys and place it into the lock. Click they key again to try to turn it. If it does not work, choose another until you find the correct key. (In all the times I have tried it, it was the 4th key, so try that one first.) When the door unlocks it will make a sound and you will be standing in front of the double doors. YOU MUST CLICK THE DOORS TO GO IN if you don’t or if you back away, you will be swept away by the tornado. Once you are in, you have the option to click on the doors to go out. If you do this before Nancy says: “I think the worst is over” you will be swept away by the tornado, so be patient.

(See Picture Below)

SPOILER: REVIEW SURFACE CHARTS–PUZZLE #23

(See full walkthrough below)

If you remember, the surface charts are in the cellar on the bottom shelf next to the disaster kit. You can see symbols on the charts; do you remember where you saw those symbols? Look under the sink in the cellar, there is a sheet that explains what the symbols mean.

Continuous moderate rain symbol looks like the following:

SYMBOL #1

Light hail no thunder looks like the following:

SYMBOL #2

Severe thunderstorm with hail looks like the following:

SYMBOL #3

Go back to the surface charts. Write down the dates for the following:
· You are looking for anything over 45 dewpoint with the symbol #1 to represent continuous moderate rain.
· You are looking for anything over 85 degrees with the symbol #2 to represent light hail, no thunder.
· You are looking for anything over 85 degrees with the symbol #3 to represent severe thunderstorm with hail.

Dates you write down should be as follows:
· 3/8, 3/21, 3/26, 4/3, 4/10, 4/29
· 3/3, 4/6, 4/23, 5/12
· 3/18, 5/6

Now organize those dates in order from earliest to latest:
3/3, 3/8, 3/18, 3/21, 3/26, 4/3, 4/6, 4/10, 4/23, 4/29, 5/6, 5/12

Now do you remember where you saw a calendar? Go up to Scott’s desk and on the wall is a calendar with letters written on each day for the months of March, April & May. Write down the letters that correspond to the dates you just wrote down. When you go to a close up of the calendar, a piece of paper with a cursor comes up, Type the letters/numbers in the order from earliest to latest

· WM9A
· GV2C
· SH4A

Take the paper and it goes into your inventory.

Do you remember where you have seen these codes before? Go to the computer in the cellar. Click on Gallery, click on the right arrow until you get to the preloaded pictures that were already downloaded onto the computer, when it gets to the picture of the windmill Nancy notices that that code matches one of the codes she wrote down on the piece of paper. Continue to click until you get to the next windmill picture, there is the code again. Continue to click until you get to the final picture of the windmill, and the final code appears. Now Nancy knows where to find Scott!

SPOILER: COLORED CABLES–PUZZLE #22

The point of this puzzle is similar to the child’s game of Pick-Up-Sticks. Basically you need to pull off the top colored stick to free the next one and so on and so forth until you get to the bottom. Place the colored peg in the corresponding number to which it lays on the pile for example the Hot Pink stick is on top so therefore the Hot Pink peg should be placed in the 1st (top left number 1 spot). This puzzle is pretty simple but I have included the solution below in case you need it.

(Picture 1 – the puzzle before started)

(Picture 2 – the puzzle with the correct pegs placed)

(Picture 3 – once all pegs are placed in the correct spot, click on the greenish “lightening” looking button below the last 2 pegs and one by one the correct pegs will light up)

SPOILER: FIX DOPPLER UNIT–PUZZLE #21

As you can see I labeled each Column, there are 3 separate metal sheets the first column on the left has 4 switches, the middle column has 3 switches, and the last column on the right has 4 switches. The point of the game is to flip one switch for each column until all lights are blue. The following is the solution:

1.) Column 1, #1 Column 2, #2 Column 3, #1 Click round green button
2.) Column 1, #2 Column 2, #2 Column 3, #2 Click round green button
3.) Column 1, #3 Column 2, #3 Column 3, #4 Click round green button
4.) Column 1, #4 Column 2, #2 Column 3, #2 Click round green button

SPOILER: FIX TV–PUZZLE #20

This one is going to be a bit tricky trying to get a Picture Solution but lets see what we can do to make this make sense.

The whole point of this puzzle is to line up the colors in order to unlock 3 different color settings. You start with the color red. You will see that you need to match the red blocks on the diagram in the top left hand corner. You will see that there are more red sections on the color wheel than those red blocks on the diagram on the left. So you need to match ONLY the red ones that are on the diagram, the other red ones do not mean anything. Now you will need to turn the color wheel to put the red colors into the correct places. You do this by the little silver buttons below the yellow on/off button. (SEE YELLOW ARROW) I have connected lines from the silver buttons that coincide to the correct wheel. (SEE COLORED LINES) Now all you have to do is turn the wheel to match the red diagram with the red color wheel. (See Picture Solution Below) Once you have that done you will do the same for Green and then Blue, respectively.

(See Picture below for Red Picture Solution)

(See Picture Below For Green Picture Solution)

(See Picture Below For Blue Picture Solution)

SPOILER: REWIRE SCOTT’S PHONE JACK–PUZZLE #18

I think that the best way to do a picture solution is to number the final picture solution in the order that it should be done. With this particular puzzle, it can start on several different spots. What I am going to do is try to use the spot that comes up the most and hopefully if your screen does not automatically start in that spot, maybe you can hit “RESET” after you move a couple times and it will get there eventually.

Go to Scott’s room and you will see at the back of the room towards the floor the wall jack for the phone is smoking. Approach the jack and you will see that it is on fire and will watch it fizzle out. Once the smoke dissipates, you can click on the jack and begin the puzzle.

The whole point of this puzzle is to connect all the circuits by moving red connector over the wires, one circuit at a time, until all wires are lit up, without going over a previous lit wire.

Once this is done you can move on to the next thing…

SPOILER: FIX ANTENNAS–PUZZLE #16

So Nancy says that the wind blew pieces of the Antennas all over. It is up to you to put the pieces where they belong. I will try to connect each piece to where it goes on the antennas. I will connect different colored lines from the piece to the corresponding place that it goes to on the Antenna.

You will need to rotate the pieces at times in order to make them fit properly. Do this by clicking on the piece you want to pick up and then right click to rotate, then you can place it on the correct spot on the Antenna. HINT: There are 2 antennas so some of the pieces will go on the one in the back as well.

Lets start with the first 5 shapes and get them out of the way.

Ok now we have those 5 done, let’s get a new screen shot and do 5 more.

Ok now we have those 5 done, let’s get a final screen shot and do the last 4.

Excellent! Nancy asks, “What’s that?” It goes to a close up of a small pink key on the ground under the antenna, click on it to look at it, and click again to put it into your inventory.

Great job!

SPOILER: FIX TRANSMISSION–PUZZLE #14

Chase needs some help putting the transmission back together. All you need to do is put the gears back on 3 horizontal rods. There’s a notch for each gear, so you will need to figure out which size gear goes to which notch. Be sure that the gears line up vertically so they touch but don’t overlap each other. (In my opinion – this is the 2nd hardest puzzle in this case)
To do this puzzle you need to select a colored gear from the left side of the screen and place it on to the notches, there are 5 notches on the bottom rod, 4 notches on the middle rod and 5 notches on the top rod. You can click the start button to see if you have all the gears in the right place as many times as you need to. HINT: Be sure to put on the gears from the back to front and from large to small so all gears slide on and off the rods in the correct order.

(See Picture Solution Below)

SPOILER: FIX FROSTY’S CAMERA–PUZZLE #13.

You see an error screen and Frosty says that the camera keeps shooting stills, you need to reprogram the camera by basically connecting the numbers into a long string that does not end from 1 – 88. You will need to place the black numbers among the red numbers to create a single sequential string from 1-88 with each number connecting to the next along the horizontal, vertical or diagonal. HINT: The music sounds like you are being timed, and Frosty is very impatient but I have taken a long time on this puzzle and never had a problem finishing it in time.

(See Picture Solution Below)

SPOILER: FUJITA SCALE TORNADO DISPLAY–PUZZLE #12

Go into the museum in Ma & Pa’s, go straight back to the Tornado display. On the display you will see a book titled “FUJITA SCALE”, click on the book and it opens to the puzzle that needs to be solved. The object of the puzzle is to place the correct tabs in the correct spots under the columns: For Fujita Scale - Fastest ½ mile wind speed, MPH. 3 – second gust speed, MPH and for EF Scale 3 – second gust speed, MPH, Damage Indicator. You will click on each of the tabs on the right side of the chart and place them in the appropriate spot according to their proper place on the Scale. Now you may have to do some reading. You can find some reading information here on the display. You can look around for the information to solve the puzzle. HINT: Don’t forget the chart on Scott’s wall back at the farmhouse.

(The Chart on Scott’s Wall at the farmhouse)

(See below for Picture Solution)

SPOILER: SNACK ISLE DISPLAY–PUZZLE #11

Go over to the snack isle and head down to where the candy is. Click on the gray box labeled “Wickford Product Display”. The object of this puzzle is to organize each piece of candy on the right side of the box to all fit horizontally or vertically without overlapping. You can right click on the candy to rotate it. Move your mouse over the up and down arrow to find the candy bars you are looking for that would best fit.

(See picture solution below)

SPOILER: SCOTT’S MICE–PUZZLE #10 (This is also for puzzle's #15, #17, #19)

(SAME RULES APPLY TO FROSTY’S MICE #15, DEBBIE’S MICE #17, AND PA’S MICE #19)
(SEE BELOW FOR SCREEN SHOTS)

This one too doesn’t have a picture solution so I will again try to explain how to finish this task. Go and talk to Scott, he is glad to see you have a trap and tells you to go by the wall where the mice hang out. When you go into Scott’s office to set up the mousetrap you will notice that there is a pile of corn on the floor directly under the stereo to your right as you enter his office. Click on that area and you will get a close up of the floor in which to set the mousetrap. Click your inventory to place the mousetrap on the floor. If you click on the dried corn and place it in the mousetrap you see a little mouse come up to the trap and turn away “I don’t think they like that.” So we have to use something else. Do you remember where you saw any mice bait? Where all the other supplies are…Ma & Pa’s. So get in your car and drive to Ma & Pa’s. Once there, go talk to Pa and ask him what he would use for bait, he suggests cheese. So go to the candy section and you will see cheese for sale for $0.95 get one and go back to Scott’s office. Once again place the mousetrap on the floor this time you will see a grocery bag at the top left corner of the screen, click on it to open it and select the cheese. Place the cheese in the trap and once again that little mouse will come and sniff the bait, this time though, he goes inside, you will then be moved to the puzzle scene. (See picture below) HINT: You cannot fail this puzzle you will just need to be patient to solve it.

Nancy says that she needs to be sure to fill all of the traps. You will see that each section is divided to little squares, the lines that separate the squares are doors and you can click on them to trap the mice into each section. Let this mouse go all the way back to the back. Don’t worry about the other mice that come through the door. Trap this mouse first. (See Picture Below)

When the back 2 spots are filled and trapped. Then you can click on the center “bridge” to turn it to fill the other spaces. Just remember to turn it back or the mice will have nowhere to go. When you get all the mice in each space (see picture below) then it will automatically close up and you can then take the cage by clicking on it to add it to you inventory.

DEBBIE'S MICE

PA'S MICE

SPOILER:PRAIRIE DOGS–PUZZLE #9

Since there is not a final puzzle to provide a picture solution to, I will try to walk you through as best I can in completing this task. When you click on the vacuum and then on the ground where the prairie dogs are the puzzle screen comes up see picture below.

You can see the prairie dogs will stick their heads out and then back in at different times. The ones that stick their heads out at the same time are in the same burrow, as Chase put it. So when 3 mice stick their head out, you want to put the vacuum on one of the holes and click on it. (See picture below)

If you click on a hole that is empty, of if the prairie dog disappears before the vacuum starts, one or more of the prairie dogs will escape. You need to suck up 15 prairie dogs to fill up the slot on the left (see picture below) before you can move them to their new location.

SPOILER:FIX SENSORS IN THE CORNFIELD–PUZZLE #7

For Task #7 you need to exit the house and turn right, go to the cornfield with the warning sign and click on the triangular sign. Once you are in the cornfield Nancy says that you need to connect the red beam to the red sensor and the blue beam to the blue sensor.

Start at the left side of the screen and you see the red beam, you will need to click on the mirrors to turn them different directions in order to get the beam to go where you want it to go, you will need to turn mirrors until the red beam goes into the red sensor which is located at the top right of the screen. Once you have the red sensor done, move on to the blue beam located at the bottom of the cornfield, continue clicking the mirrors until you have the beam in the blue sensor at the right side of the cornfield.

(See Picture Solution below)

SPOILER: LED DISPLAY–PUZZLE #6

When you get in the car you see 8 colored buttons for the LED Display. You need to rearrange the numbers so that no consecutive number touches another, horizontally, vertically or diagonally in any direction. When the puzzle is solved the screen will light up.

(See picture below for solution)

SPOILER: SPRINKLER SYSTEM–PUZZLE #5

(See Picture for Solution Below)

SPOILER: COUNTY SIREN CHART–PUZZLE #4

The way to solve this puzzle is to arrange all of the circles by clicking on the center tack of each circle and placing them on the existing tacks on the map so that no part of the boxed in portion of the map has any open spaces. (The circles can overlap.)
