Day Five:

You wake up talking to Debbie, she seems a little frantic; there is a front that is coming in that is capable of producing a super cell, maybe even lots of super cells! She is ready to tell you to go storm chasing when…BOOM! Lightening strikes and Scott’s phone jack shoots across the room.

Chang of plans…

Instead of chasing storms you get to stay at home and work on task #18.
Task # 18 – Rewire Scott’s Phone Jack SPOILER: REWIRE SCOTT’S PHONE JACK– PUZZLE #18
Go to Scott’s room and you will see at the back of the room towards the floor the wall jack for the phone is smoking. Approach the jack and you will see that it is on fire and will watch it fizzle out. Once the smoke dissipates, you can click on the jack and begin the puzzle.

The whole point of this puzzle is to connect all the circuits by moving red connector over the wires, one circuit at a time, until all wires are lit up, without going over a previous lit wire.

Once this is done you can move on to the next thing…

Back away from the jack and you will hear a muffled conversation. What’s that sound? Look at Scott’s desk and you will see something glowing bright green. Go over to it and you see that is an earpiece for a cell phone. Click on it to pick it up, this headset must have some wireless connection to a cell phone. You overhear a conversation between Scott and … BROOKE???

Before you leave look behind the spool of wire by the radio, when you click on the spool it will move and you will see a utility knife, click on the knife and Nancy will notice that there is something that smells like coolant on the blade…hmmm. Better go talk to Chase.

Except, Chase is not there. Better go snoop around while he is gone.
Go the other side of the car, turn left and you will see the boots he was yelling at earlier. Click on the boots and Nancy will see that they have oil on them.
If you want more Pa Pennies click on the horse stall, and collect the Pa Pennies on the floor. Exit out of the garage.

When you try to leave, you get a phone call from Pa, he needs you to come to the store right away. “Please hurry!”

Before you leave, you should call P.G. Krolmeister and give him an update on how things are going.

Drive to Ma & Pa’s if you remember how to get there you can drive there without the use of the GPS, if you don’t remember you can open the GPS and navigate there.
Go on in and talk to Pa.

He needs to trap some mice for him now by the homesteader display in the museum. He will give you some cheese so you don’t have to buy one this time. Click on it to put it in your inventory. So there is your new task.
Task # 19 – Capture mice in at Pa’s Store. SPOILER: SCOTT’S MICE– PUZZLE #10 (This is also for puzzle's #15, #17, #19)
You need to look for the little corn pile, which is on the floor next to the homesteader display (directly underneath the water bucket hanging up). Click on that area and you will get a close up of the floor in which to set the mousetrap. Click your inventory to place the mousetrap on the floor. Again you will see a grocery bag at the top left corner of the screen, click on it to open it and select the cheese. Place the cheese in the trap and once again that little mouse will come and sniff the bait and goes inside, you will then be moved to the puzzle scene. HINT: You cannot fail this puzzle you will just need to be patient to solve it.
Nancy said before that she needs to be sure to fill all of the traps. This trap is a little bigger than the one you did for Scott but the same rules apply. You will see that each section is divided to little squares, the lines that separate the squares are doors and you can click on them to trap the mice into each section. HINT: Work from the back forward. Don’t forget to click on the center “bridge” to turn it to fill the other spaces. Just remember to turn it back or the mice will have nowhere to go. When you get all the mice in each space then it will automatically close up and you can then take the cage by clicking on it to add it to you inventory.
Once all the mice are caught, take them and dump them at the Spring House on Old Orchard Road.

So lets hop in the car and drive to the springhouse. If you remember how to get there you can drive there without the use of the GPS, if you don’t remember you can open the GPS and navigate there. Once you get to the springhouse, approach the door, you will see the divining rod and a puddle of oil at the door of the springhouse. Click on the divining rod to pick it up and click on it again to place it in to your inventory. Then open your inventory and select the mousetrap. Click on the ground in front of the springhouse door and the mice will scurry under the door. Task #19 is done!

Go back to Ma & Pa’s and talk to Pa. So lets hop in the car and drive to Ma & Pa’s. If you remember how to get there you can drive there without the use of the GPS, if you don’t remember you can open the GPS and navigate there. He asks you to return the divining rod. Once the conversation is over, go and put the divining rod back on the homesteader display by opening your inventory and clicking on it. Place it in the cradle that is labeled “Divining Rod” and it will go back to where it was supposed to be. Go back and tell Pa that you put the divining rod back and he will reward you with more Pa Pennies.

Now it is time to go back to the farmhouse. So lets hop in the car and drive to the farmhouse. If you remember how to get there you can drive there without the use of the GPS, if you don’t remember you can open the GPS and navigate there. Go in and talk with Chase.

Go over and take another look at that radiator hose on left hand shelf by the weather balloon circuit boards. “Mice, I don’t know, looks to me like it was made by the knife I saw in Scott’s office.”

Now go in to the farmhouse and talk to Chase. Nothing real important.
Now go and talk to Scott about Brooke. Nothing real important here either.
Guess we should talk to Debbie. She asks you to go and fix the TV.

Task # 20 – Fix TV. SPOILER: FIX TV– PUZZLE #20

The whole point of this puzzle is to line up the colors in order to unlock 3 different color settings. You start with the color red. You will see that you need to match the red blocks on the diagram in the top left hand corner. You will see that there are more red sections on the color wheel than those red blocks on the diagram on the left. So you need to match ONLY the red ones that are on the diagram, the other red ones do not mean anything. Now you will need to turn the color wheel to put the red colors into the correct places. You do this by the little silver buttons below the yellow on/off button. Now all you have to do is turn the wheel to match the red diagram with the red color wheel. Once you have that done you will do the same for Green and then Blue, respectively.

Once that puzzle is finished the TV will show the footage that Frosty shot of the tornado. “It did record after all”. Now the TV is dead.

Now you get to go have a little chitchat with Frosty about what you just saw. You’ve got it all figured out now…Did he just say that you have a “big fat nose”? But at least you get a full confession. He asks you how the cloud pictures are coming. If you have been trying to get all the different cloud formations this information will come in handy. Nancy explains that she is having problems finding the cirrostratus. SEE SPOILER: ALL AWARDS (#9). He tells you to head on out to the Frasier Creek Windmill, he will be you anything you will get your picture, weather conditions for that cloud formation should be perfect right now.

Before you go and get your picture, perhaps you should talk to Debbie about Frosty too.

Now lets head over to the windmill and get that picture (if you want) If you remember how to get there you can drive there without the use of the GPS, if you don’t remember you can open the GPS and navigate there. HINT: This is not required to finish the game. Debbie tells you to go to bed but you can go get your picture first. If you do go and get the picture be sure to download it in to the computer when you get back to the farmhouse.

Once your picture is downloaded, you can now go to bed.

YOU HAVE JUST COMPLETED DAY 5!!! Great job!
